About the opportunity

Join the People & Culture team as our Talent Acquisition Specialist.  In this role you will provide tactical and strategic support to address the recruitment needs within Canada and the US Global teams. The scope of the role includes the development of recruitment strategies, building a sourcing pipeline, identifying, and attracting quality team members, conducting interviews, and is lead for our employer branding strategies.    

 Responsibilities:

    • Developing innovative, creative, and proactive recruitment strategies to develop high quality active and passive candidate pipelines.
    • Conducting regular follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
    • Developing a recruitment strategy, including job posting optimization, recruiting marketing channel development, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment marketing, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning, talent planning, etc.
    • Identifying future talent needs and proactively recruiting and sourcing; developing talent pool
    • Managing the recruitment process and life-cycle, including job postings, initial screening, interviews, reference check, and presenting offers.
    • Using social media, job boards, Internet sourcing, to source candidates and to create branding strategy
    • Developing collaborative relationships with third party recruitment agencies
    • Developing, coordinating, and implementing community-based recruiting initiatives with universities, as appropriate. May give presentations at universities.

 

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in an administrative or business-related discipline
  • CHRP designation an asset
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of recruitment experience
  • Must have strong sourcing background
  • Strong influencing skills and good judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
