About the opportunity

The Social Media Coordinator supports the Social Media Strategist – and overall marketing/communication team members – with the execution of social media strategies for Que Pasa and EnviroKidz brands, including engaging with our online communities, delivering online customer service support, executing tactics to increase brand presence and affinity on social media, assisting with content creation, and executing social media event promotion efforts. 

They have a natural curiosity and passion for social media that will help grow the social presence of Que Pasa and Envirokidz. A strategic thinker, who takes a pragmatic approach in their daily execution, this individual listens to online conversations, responds to online inquiries to deliver superior customer service and seeks ways for real, trackable online engagement to drive brand awareness and traffic to the brand website to increase overall familiarity and ultimate brand advocacy.  

To sum it up, you will be growing our community base, engage and retain them, help convert them into customers at retail and/or online so they become active fans/promoters of EnviroKidz and Que Pasa brands.

 

Critical outcomes of the role:

  • Lead community management on a daily basis for Que Pasa and EnviroKidz social media properties (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) which includes scheduling, posting, monitoring, responding and analyzing our social media properties
  • Provide support for the Event & Engagement Specialist in their daily community management of Que Pasa and Envirokidz brands
  • Support the Social Media Strategist in establishing a unified brand voice for EnviroKidz and Que Pasa brands
  • Work with Social Media Strategist to create monthly social media posting calendars across all EnviroKidz and Que Pasa social channels, that demonstrates brand and industry positioning (such as organic, non-GMO, labelling).
  • Collaborate with Social Media Startegist and Content Specialist to create sharable content tailored to specific networks to spread brand content and engagement.
  • Run social promotions track and their success, such as Twitter chats and contests.
  • Monitor online conversations and identify potential threats or opportunities to highlight for Social Media Strategist
  • Recommend new ways to engage and new social networks to reach our target consumer.
  • Provide diligent and effective customer service support for Que Pasa and EnviroKidz customers
  • Keeps abreast of the latest changes and innovations within the social media landscape
  • Works closely with Social Media Strategist and other stakeholders to ensure the consistency of branding on all social graphics.

 

Success in this role will require:

Education

  • Degree in Marketing Communications, Communications, Public Relations or a related field with demonstrated social media management experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience overseeing the social presence of a recognized brand, ideally in a consumer package goods environment
  • Proficiency and passion for social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat
  • Proficency with social media management platforms and listening tools
  • Familiar with social reporting best practices and analytics
  • Actively stay on top of trends in the social media space
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker
  • Good project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Ideally social media experience in a brand or consumer package goods environment
  • Basic understanding of content strategy, inbound marketing practices, and online marketing strategy and best practices (on page & off page SEO)
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Bonus experience and skills include Adobe creative software, video creation, photography, demand generation marketing, inbound marketing, SEO and blogging.
