About The Opportunity

This intermediate role within the People & Culture team, provides advisory and execution expertise to support our aspirational culture vision and build internal leadership capability across the US and Canada. As a key change agent, this role leads and implements corporate learning programs, projects, policies and procedures related core programs, talent development, leadership development, team development, and culture initiatives.

 

Critical outcomes for this role include:

  • Provides leadership, culture development, and learning advisory services as follows:
    • Leads development and implementation of our leadership development programs including leadership strategy advice, and responsibility for program design and delivery, evaluation of program(s) effectiveness.
    • Supports implementation of a competency-based performance using Korn-Ferry’s Leadership Architect framework including customizing success profiles, and advising on how to use profiles for talent management planning, and career conversations.
    • Identifies and develops core curriculum paths for all team members, and leadership levels within the company, and delivers core learning programs.
    • Facilitates team development sessions (e.g. Insights), and customized sessions as requested.
    • Administers psychometric instruments and surveys to analyze individual and group behavior (e.g. Insights, 360 instruments).
    • Provides coaching support and resources for managers to help them develop learning & development plans and have meaningful career conversations.
    • Support culture initiative through session design support, learning material development, facilitate conference calls to develop our culture champions across the company, and co-facilitate sessions when needed.
    • Partners with operations in the US and Canada as advisor to support plant training programs and execution of corporate programs.
    • Apply a holistic approach talent development that incorporates the 70-20-10 philosophy.

  • Provides learning administration support as follows:
    • Coordinates logistics, scheduling, and communication on all learning, talent and culture events in Richmond location.
    • Conducts our training needs analysis, creates an annual training calendar, and tracks training/learning attendance.
    • Designs and maintains our learning and development portal on SharePoint.
    • Coordinates core internal and external training for employees through administration of our Training & Development policies including tracking training budget expenditures.
    • Administrator/super user for LinkedIn learning and other learning technologies (e.g. GoToMeeting, Webex).

  • Effective customer service provided to internal and external stakeholders through the following activities:
    • Be a visible member of the Human Resources team and seen as a trusted business partner for managers and team members related to training and development activities and change initiatives.
    • Be an expert on Nature’s Path policies and programs, and having the ability to answer employee inquiries related to training and development.
    • Respectfully and capably represent the best interests of Nature’s Path in all internal and external dealings.
    • Leverage your current knowledge of adult learning best practices, recognized instructional design standards, and leading-edge approaches to learning incorporating multimedia, blended solutions, and experiential learning as appropriate.
    • Ensure a positive and productive work environment that will attract and retain high calibre, motivated employees.
  • Annual strategic objectives are led and met in a manner that continues to grow Nature’s Path through the following activities:
    • Lead the corporate annual training needs identification and analysis.
    • Help manage the talent management process through coordination, advisory and execution support to the Director, Talent & Learning.
    • Be a thought leader and project manager for other strategic initiatives for projects.
    • Support attainment of our aspirational culture by integrating culture principles, values and expectations into on-boarding, training and development programs.
    • Provide one-on-one coaching to managers and teams to support leadership development, organizational change and business transformation activities.
    • Work with the Human Resources Department to be part of a high performing team of human resources professionals who are capable of delivering results effectively and efficiently.

Success in this role will require:

Education

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Insights Certification (preferred)
  • Adult education courses or programs (preferred)

Experience

  • 5-7 years of related experience
  • Intermediate – Advanced ability in Excel, Power Point, Word, and SharePoint
  • Leadership coaching experience and familiarity using 360 instruments
  • Advanced facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Learning Management Systems administration (preferred)
  • Curriculum design skills including, experiential learning, and use of elearning and online methods
  • Experience designing customized sessions to teams.
  • Working in start-up companies, food or CPG manufacturing companies (preferred).
  • Excellent customer service skills to meet the requests of our team members.
